Seoul Part 1 - Ehwa Women University, Seoul Station, Myeong Dong,

Off we go to~ Seoul!!!!!! With my mom and my younger brother :)

On June 10 at about 6am (?) we were already at the airport! As usual, I didn't get to sleep before a super early flight. I have no idea if I'm feeling nervous or excited but I always can't fall asleep before a morning flight. Haha.

Breakfast at the airport before boarding the plane

On the way to our hotel and it was drizzling outside~

It was a good 1 & 1/2 hours from Incheon Airport to our hotel at Dong Dae Mun!!!! It was soo long and the cab fare went up to about 100$ SGD including the toll fee. Insane or insane!? We wanted a hotel near "town" or the shopping districts in Seoul so we had to live far away from the airport.

The hotel we stayed in is called Western Coop hotel, and I booked it through www.booking.com! I want to comment on how much I love the website because it was so easy for me to view the different hotels through that site as they were categorized so properly and it was simple for me to book too!! The thing that I really love about this site is that I could book/reserve the hotel room that I want, I could manage my booking by changing the dates or cancelling it, and it will only be confirmed until 2 days before the date you booked the hotel for. You'll have to key in your credit card details when you reserve the hotel room, but you only pay the full amount at the hotel lobby when you are there. I feel assured after reserving a room because I know that I've secured a room, but at the same time I would want to look at other hotels because I was afraid I would find something better. So thumbs up for that!

Here's the link to the hotel I stayed in on the website:

Reached our hotel! 818 by chance hehe Kwon Ji Yong <3

Rested for a bit before heading out for dinner

Explored the area around our hotel and found this traditional Korean restaurant

Ban Chan that came for free in every single Korean restaurant! Yummy side dishes

Spicy Pork

Grilled Saba fish

And since our hotel was in the Dong Dae Mun area, and DDM is known for their many shopping malls and late night shopping, we decided to do a bit of shopping before the day ends.

My mama with Kim Soo Hyun in the lift hahaha

<3

And the next day... The official shopping adventure begins!!

Day 1:

Breakfast at a pretty cafe near our hotel

V yummy breakkie and drinks yum

Paris Baguette endorsed by the gorgeous Jun Ji Hyun!!! <3

Band tees

And then we settled for lunch at a little Korean restaurant owned by a really pretty lady!

Korean ramyun with abalone

Korean ramyun with crab leg

Potato dumplings

Super yummy meal and so worth the money!!!

After that, we left the place and took the train to... Seoul Station!

TOP spotted hehehe <3

And Kiko~ <3

There was an Arts Fair going on so we went in to take a look first before we start shopping!

And now it is time for some... SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!

Red bean and mango shaved ice yum

Lotte Mart that is right side Lotte Mall

The thing about Lotte Mart is that they do not provide you with plastic bags so we had to pack our loots into recycled cardboard boxes by ourselves. It was so much of a hassle and so dirty but it is good for the environment so it is good I guess... *thumbs up*

Day 2:

Myeong Dong~ one of my favorites!!!!! The best place in Seoul to shop for apparels and BEAUTY PRODUCTS especially. All the beauty stores have discounts and they give you free samples like there is no tomorrow. Loveeee it!

The momma with TOP hahaha

They have plenty of MLB stores!! Koreans really into baseball

We then had lunch at a random Korean restaurant in the streets of Myeong Dong before we continued shopping. There were sooo many awesome restaurants to pick from and it was so hard to decide! I want to eat everything!!

Some of our hauls so far

Ban Chan as usual

Hae Mul Pa Jeon; Seafood Pancake

Ginseng Chicken Soup

A plate full of pork, bean sprouts, kimchi, tofu and spicy squid
One word: SHIOK

Bro eating like how the Koreans do

After that, we continued shopping! How can you not eat the ice-cream there right? This ice-cream is actually quite a common sight on the streets in Seoul. They can be seen at Hongdae or Dong Dae Mun too! And so we decided to give it a try.

Still have no idea why it's shaped like that

It is super yummy soft served vanilla ice-cream on the inside and a corn snack on the outside. Yum!

More shopping

Shoe stores that have sooo many brands

MCM Flagship Store in Myeong Dong

What we got from the MCM store heh
(Just the black leather clutch is mine! Disclaimer)

Ootd shot in Myeong Dong hehe

Korean street food yum yum

Super good egg bread thumbs up!!!!

After that, we looked for a restaurant to have our dinner! I was so desperate to try the traditional Korean restaurants in Myeong Dong but my mom and bro were sooo sick of Koean food already (only day 2 lol) so we had Italian cuisine for dinner instead! The restaurant is called Urban Chic. But if you were to go to Myeong Dong, please try the traditional Jeonju Bibimbap or the traditional Korean porridge!!!! Must!! Hahahaha

Cream pasta in a bread bowl
This was good!!!

Cheddar Cheese Hamburger
Looks tempting and delicious but it is a HUGE NO!!!! Terrible and icy cold haha oops

Street dance performance

Crossing opposite to shop at Lotte Department Store at Myeong Dong

And, that is all for this post! Day 3 and onwards from the next post onwards.

Lovelovelove,
T
